I would be okay with you going ahead and doing the corrections. My concern is if Amanda Foley or Dave Barnes in the Engineering Dept. has not yet responded to your email, stating that they are okay with the replat and easement shift. It would be nice for you (and me) if we could get something in writing. I know Amanda is out this week for spring break, but Dave is in the office...So, maybe you can try to reach Dave, or maybe even Gary Duncan. (Their number is 571-2441). Speaking of review comments, here are mine again, but with one more added: a) Please add Docket No. 13030019 SP-Replat to the plat. b) On the plat, please only show the new lot line location and the new easement location, and not the old locations. c) Please add to the plat title: Section 1, so that it reads: Grandin Hall, Section 1. The homeowners of Lot#11 were led to believe (or inferred) that their property went to the storm manhole at their southwest lot corner as per original subdivision drainage design. However, during construction, in what appears to have been an attempt to save several large trees along the east side of the 20-foot drainage easement centered on the lot line (10-foot each side), the storm sewer was installed to the west edge of the drainage, utility and sewer easement. The builder who built the house on Lot#11 also owns the lot that backs up to Lot#11, Lot#7. They have agreed to pivot the common lot line, holding the north end as a 4-way lot corner, and pivoting the line so that it is now centered on the manhole at the south end of the common lot line. Since the storm sewer is also over there, they've requested to relocate the easement so that it is still centered on the lot line, better centering it on the existing storm sewer than it is now. City of Carmel requires us to ask the utility members if they have an objection or no-interest in the relocation of this drainage, utility and sewer easement. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Please find attached a copy of the existing/proposed conditions exhibit, as well as the proposed replat document for your review.
