BY SEEDING. EITHER PERMANENT \TEMPORARY. OR ER05ION CONTROL
TYPES. AS SHOWN ON THE PLAN. AFTER FINISH GRADING. ALL
CONSTRUCTION AREAS ARE TO BE SEEDED.
2. PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY SEEDING SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE DETAILS SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN.
3. EROSION CONTROL SEEDING' AN INTERIM SEEDING TO BE APPLIED
TO ALL DISTURBED AREAS AS SOON AS FINAL GRADING IS
ESTABLISHED. MIX AND APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE
SPECIFICATIONS. CIF THIS SEEDING 15 APPLIED IMMEDIATELY
UPON FINISH GRADING. IT CAN SAVE SOME OF THE FURTHER
SEEDING AND LENGTHEN THE DURATION BETWEEN THE MAINTENANCE
OF THE SILTATION TRAPS AND BARRIERS.)
4. IF GRADING OCCURS DURING DECEMBER. JANUARY OR FEBRUARY.
DORMANT SEEDING PROCEDURES SHALL BE USED. IT IS
IMPERATIVE THAT ALL SEDIMENT FILTERS AND TRAPS ARE IN
PLACE PRIOR TO BULK EARTHMOVING OR CLEARING OPERATIONS
COMMENCE.
5. DURING DRY WEATHER, KEEP LAWNS WATERED WITH SPRINKLERS OR
OTHER APPROVED METHODS. RESEED ANY AREAS NOT GERMINATING'
OR DAMAGED AT INTERVALS AS MAY BE REQUIRED ACCORDING TO
SEASONAL CONDITION AND /OR CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. WATER
GRASS AND EXECUTE NECESSARY WEEDING UNTIL FULL STAND OF

1. *CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE 15 TO BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO ANY
CONSTRUCTION ON SITE.
2. IF SEDIMENT IS TO RISE ABOVE ONE THIRD THE HEIGHT OF ANY
EROSION CONTROL STRUCTURE. THE STRUCTURE SHOULD BE CLEARED
OF ALL SEDIMENTATION.
3. EROSION CONTROL IS TO BE MAINTAINED THROUGH THE TOTAL
COMPLETION OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS.
4. ALL INLETS AND EROSION CONTROL STRUCTURES ARE TO BE
CHECKED ONCE A WEEK AND AFTER EACH RAINFALL TO INSURE
PROPER PROTECTION FROM SEDIMENTATION.
5. ALL EXISTING STORM STRUCTURES THAT DRAIN UNDER COUNTY
ROADS OR TOWARD ADJACENT PROPERTIES SHALL BE PROTECTED AS
SHOWN ON THE EROSION CONTROL PLAN.
6. IF 501L IS TO BE STOCKPILED, IT SHALL BE SURROUNDED WITH A SILT FENCE
TO PREVENT EROSION.
7. SILT TRAPS ARE TO PROTECT ALL EARTH DITCH INLETS.
8, PRIOR TO EARTH WORK, MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN TO PREVENT EROSION INTO
EXISTING WATERSHEDS. AND PREVENT SILTATION ON ADJACENT PROPERTIES.
PERMANENT VEGETATIVE STABILIZATION
MULUM MAY BE APPLIED ANY TIME CONDITIONS ARE SUITABLE
FOR SPREADING ANCHORING REGARDLESS OF VEGETATIVE COVER. SOME
EXAMPLES OF SUITABLE MULCH INCLUDE'
1. AIR DRIED WHEAT. BARLEY, OAT. OR RYE STRAW. FREE FROM
NOXIOUS WEEDS AND OTHER FOREIGN MATTER. IT SHOULD BE
SPREAD UNIFORMLY SO 807. OF THE SURFACE 15 COVERED FIVE OR
SIX STRAWS THICK CTWO BALES PER 1000 50. FT. OR
APPROXIMATELY TWO TONS PER ACRE).
2. EXCELSIOR BLANKET. JUTE NETTING. PAPER FABRIC. OR A
SIMILAR SYSTEM APPLIED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURERS'
SPECIFICATIONS.
2. WOOD CELLULOSE FIBER MIXED WITH WATER AND APPLIED WITH A
HYDRO- SEEDER TO FORM A DENSE MAT AFTER DRYING. IT IS BEST
SUITED TO SITES HAVING SLOPES LESS THAN 37. IN GRADE AND
LE55 THAN 150 FEET IN LENGTH.
WOOD CELLULOSE FIBER ' SHOULD NOT CONTAIN GROWTH OR
GERMINATION INHIBITING FACTORS AND SHOULD BE DYED GREEN FOR
METERING. IT SHOULD BE APPLIED IN A UNIFORM MANNER AT A RATE
OF 1.200 POUNDS PER ACRE. MIXING AND APPLICATION SHOULD BE
PERFORMED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MANUFACTURER'S
SPECIFICATIONS.
STRAW MULCH SHOULD BE ANCHORED BY PRESSING STRAW INTO
THE 501L A DEPTH OF TWO INCHES WITH THE USE OF A MULCH
ANCHORING TOOL. OR SECURING WITH TWINE OR HEAVY STRING AROUND
PEGS OR STAPLES.
ALL MULCH INSTALLATION TECHNIQUES ARE TO CONFORM WITH THE
URBAN DEVELOPMENT PLANNING GUIDE. FOURTH EDITION, JUNE 1990.
