CARMEL/CLAY ADVISORY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS FINDINGS OF FACT - DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS VARIANCE Docket No.: Petitioner: Christopher Reasor & Candice Rogers 1. The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the community because: the room addition will be for residential use . We are keeping within all Carmel codes & regulations regarding residential homes . 2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a substantially adverse manner because: we have made every effort to match the quality & style of the the existing residence, so as not to devalue either property. 3. The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in practical difficulties in the use of the property because: We require 4 bedrooms due to the size of our family. We have considered adding on to the east end of the home but the floorplan does not permit it . To do so would require decreasing the size of the existing bedrooms in order to access the exterior wall .
