TYPICAL SECTION
1. ALL GRADES AT BOUNDARY SHALL MEET EXISTING GRADES
2. EXISTING UTILITY LOCATIONS ARE APPROXIMATE, CONTRACTOR TO FIELD VERIFY HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL UTILITY LOCATIONS PRIOR TO MAJOR EARTHWORK.
3. BUILDING PAD AREAS AND STREETS DESIGNATED FOR FILL SHALL BE COMPACTED TO 95% STANDARD PROCTOR DENSITY, OR AS RECOMMENDED BY GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER, WHICHEVER IS MORE
STRINGENT. STREETS SHALL BE COMPACTED PER CITY OF CARMEL SPECIFICATIONS. ALL FILL AREAS TO BE STRIPPED OF TOPSOIL PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF FILL.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL PRESERVE EXISTING TREES WHENEVER POSSIBLE. OWNER, OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE AND CITY OF CARMEL URBAN FORESTER SHALL BE CONSULTED FOR CLEARING LIMITS.
CLEARING LIMITS SHALL CONSIST OF ALL TREES WITHIN STREET AREAS, UTILITY INSTALLATION LIMITS AND CUT /FILL AREAS. IF CLEARING LIMITS VARY FROM APPROVED LANDSCAPE PLAN, THEN
CLEARED TREES SHALL BE REPLACED TO BRING FINAL SITE INTO COMPLIANCE WITH APPROVED LANDSCAPE PLAN.
5. NO EARTH DISTURBING ACTIVITIES MAY COMMENCE WITHOUT AN APPROVED STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PERMIT.
6. M.F.P.G.= MINIMUM FLOOD PROTECTION GRADE. M.F.P.G. OF ALL STRUCTURES FRONTING A POND OR OPEN DITCH SHALL BE NO LESS THAN 2 FEET ABOVE ANY ADJACENT 100 -YEAR LOCAL OR

7. M.L.A.G.= LOWEST ADJACENT GRADE IS THE ELEVATION OF THE LOWEST GRADE ADJACENT TO A STRUCTURE WHEN THE SOIL MEETS THE THE FOUNDATION AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE STRUCTURE
(INCLUDING STRUCTURAL MEMBERS SUCH AS BASEMENT WALKOUT, PATIOS, DECKS, PORCHES, SUPPORT POST, OR PIERS, AND RIM OF THE WINDOW WELL.
8. UTILITY RELOCATIONS REQUIRED BY THE PROJECT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER. UTILITY LINE RELOCATIONS REQUIRED FOR ROAD PROJECTS THAT RESULT IN A CONFLICT WITH
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER TO RESOLVE WITH THE UTILITY. EXISTING POLE LINES REQUIRED TO BE RELOCATED SHALL BE RELOCATED TO WITHIN
ONE FOOT OF PROPOSED RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE.
9. SIDEWALKS TO BE 5' -0" AND INSTALLED AS SHOWN ON THIS PLAN
10. CURB UNDERDRAINS WILL BE INSTALLED THROUGHOUT THIS ENTIRE PROJECT.
11. 2' ROLLED CURB & GUTTER SHALL BE INSTALLED THROUGHOUT ENTIRE PROJECT AS SHOWN UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
12. A CURB RAMP IS TO BE INSTALLED AT ALL LOCATIONS WHERE A SIDEWALK IS SHOWN INTERSECTING A CURB - SEE DETAIL
13. CONTRACTOR TO DESIGNATE SANITARY LATERAL ENDS WITH A WOODEN 2 "X4" STAKE, PAINTED BRIGHT GREEN.
14. ANY DRAINAGE TILE SYSTEM COMING ONTO THE SITE SHALL BE CONNECTED INTO THE PROPOSED DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN POSITIVE DRAINAGE FOR THE OFFSITE SYSTEM.

18. STANDARD BARRICADE TYPE IV IS TO BE PLACED AT ALL STUB STREET.
19. ALL SANITARY 48" MANHOLES IN NON -PAVED AREAS SHALL BE 3" ABOVE GRADE.
20. ALL PAVING WITHIN THE EXISTING AND PROPOSED CITY RIGHT -OF -WAY SHALL CONFORM TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE
DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING TO SCHEDULE A PRE - CONSTRUCTIONS MEETING TO REVIEW THE DEPARTMENT'S CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS, STAFF NOTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS, REQUIRED
