This is a request for approval for a 6' front yard setback variance. This variance will not extend beyond the previously established 25' front yard setback standards and will still conform to the established building lines of other homes in the area. We would like to enlarge our existing attached one car garage to a two car garage. Existing one car garage has a 31'setback. Current development standards for zone R2 is a front yard setback of 35'-City of Carmel Zoning Ordinance 8.04.03(a). No request for relief from side yard setback is needed: expanded area is well within minimum lot standards.
