Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and other Division 1 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. 1.2 SUMMARY A. Section includes administrative and procedural requirements for unit prices. B. Related Sections: 1. Division 1 Section "Contract Modification Procedures" for procedures for submitting and handling Change Orders. 2. Division 1 Section "Quality Requirements" for general testing and inspecting requirements. 1.3 DEFINITIONS A. Unit price is an amount incorporated in the Agreement, applicable during the duration of the Work as a price per unit of measurement for materials, equipment, or services, or a portion of the Work, added to or deducted from the Contract Sum by appropriate modification, if the scope of Work or estimated quantities of Work required by the Contract Documents are increased or decreased. 1.4 PROCEDURES A. Unit prices include all necessary material, plus cost for delivery, installation, insurance, applicable taxes, overhead, and profit. B. Measurement and Payment: Refer to individual Specification Sections for work that requires establishment of unit prices. Methods of measurement and payment for unit prices are specified in those Sections. C. Owner reserves the right to reject Contractor's measurement of work-in-place that involves use of established unit prices and to have this work measured, at Owner's expense, by an independent surveyor acceptable to Contractor. D. List of Unit Prices: A schedule of unit prices is included in Part 3. Specification Sections referenced in the schedule contain requirements for materials described under each unit price. PART 2 - PRODUCTS (Not Used) PART 3 - EXECUTION BICKFORD OF CARMEL, IN 12/12/2012 UNIT PRICES 01270 - 2 3.1 SCHEDULE OF UNIT PRICES A. Unit Price 1: Removal of unsatisfactory soil and replacement with satisfactory soil material. 1. Description: Unsatisfactory soil excavation and disposal off site and replacement with satisfactory fill material or engineered fill from off site, as required, in accordance with Division 2 Section "Earthwork." 2. Unit of Measurement: Cubic yard (Cubic meter) of soil excavated, based upon survey of volume removed. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." B. Unit Price No. 2: Additional Grading 1. Description: Importation and compaction of additional structural fill. 2. Unit of Measurement: Cubic yard (Cubic meter) of soil. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." C. Unit Price No. 3: Additional sidewalk. 1. Description: Addition of concrete sidewalk over crushed gravel as defined on the civil drawings. 2. Unit of Measurement: Linear foot of 5’-0” wide sidewalk and gravel base.. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." D. Unit Price No. 4: Additional concrete paving. 1. Description: Addition of reinforced concrete paving as defined on the civil drawings. 2. Unit of Measurement: Cubic yard. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." E. Unit Price No. 5: Receptacles. 1. Description: Addition of receptacles and related wiring as may be required by the Owner. 2. Unit of Measurement: cost per receptacle. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." F. Unit Price No. 6: Carpet. 1. Description: Provide material cost and installation (break out) of each type of carpet provided. 2. Unit of Measurement: cost per yard. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." G. Unit Price No. 7: Tile. 1. Description: Provide material cost and installation (break out) of each type of tile provided. 2. Unit of Measurement: cost per square foot. 3. Quantity Allowance: Coordinate unit price with allowance adjustment requirements of Division 1 Section " Allowances." END OF SECTION 01270
