HomeMy WebLinkAbout15932.pdf BICKFORD OF CARMEL, IN 12/12/2012 AIR OUTLETS AND INLETS 15932-1 SECTION 15932 AIR OUTLETS AND INLETS PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS A. Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division-1 Specification sections, apply to work of this section. 1.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Comply with the following Codes and Standards 1. ADC Compliance: Test and rate air outlets and inlets in accordance with requirements of ADC 1062. 1.3 COORDINATION A. The Contractor shall coordinate his work with other mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and field measure, as required, prior to fabrication to facilitate a complete installation. 1.4 SUBMITTALS A. Product Data Submit manufacturer's technical product data for air outlets and inlets including performance data for each type of air outlet and inlet furnished, including throw and drop, and noise criteria ratings. B. Shop Drawings Submit shop drawings for all air outlets and inlets intended for use on the project. The Contractor shall coordinate rough opening sizes required with other Mechanical, Electrical, Structural and to facilitate a complete installation. Shop Drawings should include, but are not limited to, dimensioned drawings showing locations and rough opening sizes required, elevations, attachment means etc. C. Operating and Maintenance Manuals Submit Operating and Maintenance Manuals in accordance with Specification Section 15010 containing, but not limited too, all information required therein. 1.5 VERIFICATION A. Investigate the existing and proposed structural and finished conditions affecting the system, and arrange the equipment accordingly, furnishing required fittings, offsets, and accessories. Locate louvers/hoods to avoid interference with other mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Consult with the Engineer before making any changes in the event it becomes necessary to make changes in pipe locations due to the building construction. Any such changes required shall be made without added cost to the Owner. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 LOUVERS BICKFORD OF CARMEL, IN 12/12/2012 AIR OUTLETS AND INLETS 15932-2 A. Except as otherwise indicated, provide manufacturer's standard weatherproof louvers where shown; of size, shape, capacity and type indicated; constructed of materials and components as indicated, and as required for complete installation. B. Manufacturer Subject to compliance with requirements, provide louvers of one of the following: Airline Products Co. Airolite Co. American Warming & Ventilating, Inc. Arrow United Industries Construction Specialties, Inc. Dowco Corp. Industrial Louvers, Inc. Louvers & Dampers, Inc. Penn Ventilator Co., Inc. Ruskin Mfg. Co. Safe-Air Inc. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 INSTALLATION A. Install air outlets and inlets in accordance with manufacturer's written instructions and in accordance with recognized industry practices. 1. Louvers Louvers shall be provided by the Mechanical Contractor and installed by the General Contractor. END OF SECTION
