Drawings and general provisions of Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions, Division-1 Specification sections and Division-16 Specification Sections apply to work of this section. B. Temperature Control Contractor shall install all temperature control equipment. C. Temperature Control Contractor shall wire all temperature controls, verify systems operation and instruct the Owner. D. Modifications to this Sequence of Operation shall not be permitted without prior written consent of the Architect/Engineer. PART 2 – PRODUCTS Not applicable to this section. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 CONTROL SEQUENCES A. Furnace / Cooling Coil / Condensing Unit (F-1 thru F-5, CC-1 thru CC-5, CU-1 thru CU-5) Unit shall be controlled in two modes – occupied and unoccupied. Unit shall be controlled by a DDC based room temperature sensor. DDC system shall control occupied and unoccupied times, fan operation and space temperature set point. Occupied Mode Fan shall run continuously. On call for heating/cooling, space temperature sensor shall cycle burner or condensing unit to maintain setpoint. Unoccupied Mode Fan shall run cycle. On call for heating/cooling, space temperature sensor shall cycle burner or condensing unit to maintain space unoccupied setpoint. Fan shall cycle with burner or condensing unit operation. Motorized outside air damper shall be closed. B. Fan Coil Heat Pump Indoor Unit (FC-1 and FC-2) 1. Manufacturer’s standard field installed controller and wall mounted remote sensor shall be connected to appropriate indoor unit. Air-source VRV condensing units shall operate with multiple connected indoor fan coil units utilizing the manufacturer’s standard control sequences to maintain adjustable indoor set point temperatures. Each zone shall have its own controller with adjustable set points, independent of other zones. 2. The manufacturer’s standard field installed controller shall be programmable with service diagnostic functions available. C. Exhaust Fan (EF-1, EF-5) 1. Exhaust fan shall be activated with room(s) lights. Exhaust fan shall be on when lights are on and off when lights are off. BICKFORD OF CARMEL, IN 12/12/2012 SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS 15985-2 D. Exhaust Fan (EF-2) 1. Exhaust fan shall be controlled by room switch. E. KITCHEN HOOD (EF-3, MAU-1, AND CU-6) 1. Exhaust fan, make-up air fan, gas heater, DX cooling system shall be controlled by kitchen hood control panel. F. Dishwashing Hood (EF-4) 1. Exhaust fan shall be controlled by dishwashing hood control panel. G. Exhaust Fan (EF-6) 1. Exhaust fan shall be activated with room(s) lights. Exhaust fan shall be on when lights are on and off when lights are off. Provide time delay switch with fan. Fan shall run for an additional 10 minutes (adjustable) after lights are shut off. H. Electric Unit Heaters 1. Unit mounted integral thermostat shall control electric heat and fan operation to maintain space temperature. I. Exhaust Fan (EF-7) 1. Exhaust fan shall be activated with room(s) lights. END OF SECTION
