The building & Sewer Shall be pvc sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest rems]on; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C--700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pvc pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed !,n accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and ,2 of the Intematiunal Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6 diameter.
Al[installations shall be "open trench" ins~.ected and a roved b2 the Carmel_Sewer De artment before an backfillin _is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installanon and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.

Dear Board Members:
I recommend the Board approve water and sanitary sewer availability for the Hazel Dell Comer, Lot #3 development as
follows:
HAZEL DELL CORNER LOT #3
Water: 8.40 EDUs as per Water Ordinance A66-A77. Not to exceed an additional average daily flow
of 2,520.0 gallons.
Sewer: 8.40 EDUs as per Sewer Ordinance S-58. Not to exceed an additional average daily flow of
2,520.00 gallons.
Mr. Robert Doster, Senior Project Manager for the Schneider Corporation, has indicated the intended use of this
building will be: Coffee Shop - 60 seat capacity
Retail - 2,400
Calculation of EDUs
Baaed upon user information from our Equivalent User Contribution Multiplier tables from the Utility section of City of
Carmel City Codes, proposed usage is calculated as follows:
Restaurant - 60 seats ~ 0.1 EDUs/Seat = 6.00 EDUs
Retail - ~ 1.0 EDUs/I,_000 ft.~ = 2.40 EDUs
Totals 8.40 EDUs

2005. Carmel Utilities has reviewed and approved these calculations. Construction or development of this project must
begin within twelve (12) months or said approval expires and the devel6per or builder must reapply to the Board.
