At that time I met Mr. Nagy of your office and we discussed the situation. This is your ciocket No. V-9-84. I own the tract on the north side of 146 Street and east of" Setters Road. It is my 'understanding 'from talking to Mr.. Coota, who is representing the Salsbery brothers, that the only reason they need this variance is to have a garden shop or a retail atore at this location. A tree farm or plant nursery for their landscape business is a permitted use. I appreciate this view, but it has also been my experience that the so-called ocassional uses develop into a more per» manent operation as the business flouriahes. I am told that they plan only to have Christmas tree sales in December, but sometimes this develops into shrubs for Easter and then flowers for Memorial Day and pretty soon there is a full-time operation. Whether this transpires or not only time will tell. In any event, the' area that ' Z am concerned about and which I feel might directly affect my property would be the retail store on a parcel having only 182 feet of frontage and, therefor.e, there is certainly a problem with ingress and egress to the lot and the potential for parking along 146 Street . I presume that they will have a shallow well for watering their stock and a septic tank for their toilet on the premises. I got the feeling from Mr. Coots that the Salsbery brothers would contact the adjacent property owners and explain their use of the property, but i have heard nothing from them, so I am somewhat operating in the dark. As atated before, 'I am- concerned about ingress and egress for the property,. on-site parking, parkinq along the county road and the pos§ibility of illuminated commercial signa in this area. I had planned to attend the meeting on February 27, and I am not in a position to come back to Indiana again for the rescheduled meeting on March 12 .
