Vice Chairman, Dr. John Durrer, at 7 :42 P.M. , July 23, 1979, in the - City Building. Roll was called and members present were ; Glen Jensen, Jim Smith, Dr. John Durrer., Frank Regan (arrived at 8 :o4) and Jerry York. There were no additions or corrections -to the minutes of the June 2.5 meeting and Mr. York. moved that they be approved as submitted. Seconded by Mr. Jim Smith. "Motion carried. E. Public Hearings • la.. 7 : 30 P .M.' Public Hearing on Docket No. BA 36-79 Variance Application. for identification sign for Carmel Bank and Trust Co . , located 200 E. Carmel Drive in B-3 'zoning: ' Filed by Fineberg & Associates. Mr. Fineberg made the presentation showing a rendering of the sign. The plans were shown. The ;sign is to include a public b illboard. The size is the sane as the Hunter' s' Quest sign. The sign will- be on 2 poles and in the Williamsburg motif., The time and temperature will be on the sign. The Public Hearing opened at 7 :48 . No remonstrators were present and ' the Public :Hearing closed at 7:48 . Mr. York asked if this is the only sign. Ivir. Fineberg said yes except for the sign on the building front,. Mr. Jim Smith expressed concern about the billboard portion'" of the sign. stating that others would be requesting this. Mr. York said he liked . the sign but questioned the advertising portion . Mr. Fineberg said they would eliminate the billboard portion if the. Board requested. Mr. Jim Smith moved that BA 36-79 be approved as presented with the elimination of the billboard portion . Seconded by Mr. York. The vote was unanimous for approval. - 2a : 7 :45_ P .M. , Public Hearing on Docket No. BA 37-79, Variance Application to build 'a double located 141 4th Street N. W. in R-2 zoning. Filed by Byron E. Moore. Mr. Moore, was present. Mr. Bob McClure, of Pettigo. and Yound Construction Co. , made the present- ation . The hardship is that there are numerous multiple houses within the district: Photos were shown to illustrate and a. rendering of the doubler; was shown. The Public Hearing opened at 8 :04. No remonstrators were present and f` the 'Public Hearing closed at 8 :04. Mr. York questioned the location. ' ( Mr. Regan arrived - 8 :04) Mr. Moore explained giving the locations of the multiple dwellings in the area . ' Mr. Jensen moved that BA 37-79 be approved . Seconded by Mr. Jim _Smith . Filed by James O' Bara of Weihe Engineering for John Dugan. Mr. Church made the presentation for 6 independent, free standing office buildings. The plans and a rendering were shown. The Public Hearing opened at 8 :16. No remonstrators were present and the
