The applicant seeks approval for expanded parking, signage, and associated landscaping.
The site is located at 11939 N. Meridian Street. The site is zoned B6/Business and is in
the US 31 Corridor Overlay.

The applicant is requesting approval of signage and a parking addition at the subject location. As
the committee may recall approval was granted last year to allow modifications to the elevations
of the building at this location. At that time parking was added without proper approvals. Upon
notification the applicant has provided additional plans for review by the Commission.
The Urban Forester has requested additional detail on the landscaping proposal. The Department
is awaiting updated plans. It is not anticipated that the site will meet all US 31 Landscaping
requirements however detailed plans are needed for review nonetheless.
The Department recommends that the Subdivision Committee forward this item back to
the full Plan Commission after all comments and concerns are addressed.
Background:
Variance approval is required in addition to committee approval for curbing of the parking area
and the landscaping standards of the US 31 Overlay. The Department is in support of both
requests.
