issues have all been resolved, so once the fees are paid we can issue the remaining C/O’s.

Yes, the screening issues have been resolved for Earth Fare. It is ok to issue the final C/O’s for the inline shops and the
Old National Bank.
Walgreens is a separate permit, right? (DOCS might want to use this site later on for some leverage with the trash
dumpster enclosure issues on the overall site… by holding up inspections and/or the final C/O.)

I inspected the site today and passed the inspections.
However, I am not sure of the exact permit #’s, I have an email out to the them to find out, But I thought I would email
you too.
I inspected everything so far and all is good except for the corner that has not been started yet. I did pass the old Nat’l
bank separately. But what are the other permit numbers?

permits, but it looks like the new location next door will be ready for a C/O fairly soon. I just wanted to make sure it’s ok when the time comes.

My Office has received plans for the proposed Verizon Wireless project located in the Building Shell 1344 S. Rangeline
Rd., Carmel, IN. We are unable to complete a review at this time due to missing information on the submitted plans.
Please provide the following:

1. Provide a detailed life safety plan with detailed occupant load information and calculations along with required
exiting information to confirm compliance with the requirements of Chapter 10 of the 2008 Indiana Fire And
Building Codes.
2. Provide emergency lighting and exit signage details information to confirm compliance with the requirements of
Chapter 10 of the 2008 Indiana Fire And Building Codes.
3. Provide details on the occupancy separation wall to show compliance with Section 508 of the 2008 Indiana
Building Code.
4. The building shell has a fire alarm system installed. Provide detailed fire alarm system device location
information.

I know that City BBQ plan has already been sent to the State. I would question if the 2 hour wall construction and detail
was included on the tenant construction plans reviewed by the State as is Required. Also the State sent in a request for
information on 1/8/12, so I guess there was some missing information. If they want to include the 2 hour rated wall it in
the tenant work and if it was not on the tenant plans as is being reviewed by the state then an addendum to the tenant
plans we have to be sent to the state for review.

Chad, regarding the plans for City BBQ, both Chris Ellison with CFD and our Building Commissioner Jim Blanchard have indicated that your portion of the
project will actually require a State Design Release. This is due to the fact that a two hour rated wall is being constructed. We can hold the plans here

I know that City BBQ plan has already been sent to the State. I would question if the 2 hour wall construction and detail
was included on the tenant construction plans reviewed by the State as is Required. Also the State sent in a request for
information on 1/8/12, so I guess there was some missing information. If they want to include the 2 hour rated wall it in
the tenant work and if it was not on the tenant plans as is being reviewed by the state then an addendum to the tenant
plans we have to be sent to the state for review.

review with Carmel or that they have been released?
It sounds like we will be waiting on the state for the MECH, ELEC, and PLUM for a while longer. I would like to be able to
complete the shell of the Earth Fare. If that means I need to submit an amendment to the FDN release to get the ARCH
and STR, I will do that.

Also, the Planning/Zoning Dept. needs PDF files of the final site plan and architectural building elevations, so that
we can make sure what they want to build is what was approved by the Plan Commission.

Good morning-
I received the following plans for new additions to The Centre at 1342 S. Range Line Rd.
• 30,468 sq ft In-line shops addition
• 16,174 sq ft Outlot building
• 25,000 sq ft earthfare shell
The plans will not be reviewed by our department until the demolition permit is applied for, issued, and the site inspection is
complete, but I wanted to send this so the builder will get an initial idea of what each department will require. If you need to
see a digital copy of plans, let me know and I can send them to you.

I spoke with Nick in the building department and cleared up some confusion.
Nick – Please let me know if any of this information is incorrect.
1. Demo permit
a. Must be signed by Barry at the Health Department before Carmel will accept it. I faxed it to him first
thing this morning. (Al – If you have not done so already, please follow up with him)
b. It must be approved by the Building Commissioner prior to approval

c. John Thomas will need to send an email to Nick stating EC is ok.
2. Building Permits
a. I need to send a summary of the project to Nick. He will then forward my summary to several parties.
Many will reply that they do not need to review anything since this project has already been approved
through TAC. I plan on sending this today.
b. On Monday, he will accept the building plans for review. Please be sure to include the PDF plans as well
as the three sets for all the buildings.
c. Permits cannot be issued until demo is complete and approvals are obtained from all other agencies
listed on the permit application. The Fire Department will not start review until all approvals are
obtained, but Nick will try to have all other reviews complete prior to receiving all other approvals.
d. Site will need to be inspected after demolition prior to building permit issuance.

I've reviewed the demolition and storm water plan for the project.
The following will need to be addressed before I can issue the storm water permit for the demolition.
1. A "right of way permit" will need to be obtained from Fred Glaser. Permit requires the posting of a $5000 license and
permit bond. Please call Fred at 571-2677 for more information.
The following item will have to be addressed before any demolition within the right of way can begin;
2. It appears a few entrances and some sidewalk in the right of way will be demolished. Closure of the sidewalk for this
demolition will Board of Public Works approval. Please contact Dave Barnes in our office at 571-2364.
The following will have to be addressed before the site entrance can be moved.
3. The vacating of an existing curb cut and the relocating of a site entrance will require Board of Public works approval.
Please contact Dave for this as well.
4. The construction documents will have to be approved and the construction phase storm water permit issued.
Coordinated through our department.
After each storm water permit is issued, a pre-construction meeting must be held with our department before any acitivity
begins on that phase of the project. Please call Dan Greskamp to schedule, after receiving the storm water permit at 571-
