I have attached some pictures for your review. I think you will all agree that it turned out great! We will stain or paint it a
brown color to match the trim of the building. Look good?
I’ll wait to hear from Daren about approval on the landscape. I think he will be happy with the result. I can’t tell you how
many neighbors have complimented us….it’s really a nice fit for everyone I think!

Nichole, in the Forestry Dept. , asked that I contact you and provide you with the fence regulations for the City and
for the Old Town Overlay district.
Attached is a handout about the City’s general fence regulations.
And, in the Old Town Overlay, Character Subarea, fence requirements are these: … Fences greater than thirty-six
(36) inches tall are not allowed forward of the Front Line of the Principal Building. And, vinyl covered chain-link
material is allowed in the Front Yard except on those properties which front on Range Line Road. For properties
fronting on Range Line Road, chain-link material is prohibited forward of the Front Line of the Principal Building.

Also, if you can run the final fence design, size, color, height, location etc. by me before you build it, then we can just
review/approve it administratively and update the file that has your previous approval for the building and site
plan, under docket no. 12100012 ADLS Amend.

Hi Angie,
Here are the final prints that include the brackets and details per your request. Finally got the computer issue resolved!
The only modification we made is to the rear of the building where we replaced one of the rear doors and window with a
wall of windows. See page 2. The interior rear area of the building was determined to be very dark – facing the north and
with the tree line. This wall of windows will open it up and provide needed natural light.

Hi Angie,
Thanks for your inquiry. We will definitely be including the brackets on the front and side elevations as you have
highlighted per the original drawing submitted. That was a drawing oversight, but we definitely want them on the building.
It adds the correct look and feel to the architecture.
As for the brick soldier course over the windows, after investigation of the site, there are no soldier courses over the
existing building windows. We would consider adding them over the new windows on the addition, but the overall feel
might not be right, since it would look different from the old building. So, for now, we would like to omit all of the soldiers
over the windows, for consistency sake.

Staff compared the building elevations of what you propose to build vs. what was approved by the Plan Commission. We
noticed that some of the architectural detailing is not present on what you propose to build. Please see attached marked
up drawing with the red circles marking the detailing that was shown to the plan commission, but is not shown on the
plans to build. Please let me know if you can add any of these elements back into the architectural building elevations.

Thanks for your inquiry. We will definitely be including the brackets on the front and side elevations as you have
highlighted per the original drawing submitted. That was a drawing oversight, but we definitely want them on the building.
It adds the correct look and feel to the architecture.
As for the brick soldier course over the windows, after investigation of the site, there are no soldier courses over the
existing building windows. We would consider adding them over the new windows on the addition, but the overall feel
might not be right, since it would look different from the old building. So, for now, we would like to omit all of the soldiers
over the windows, for consistency sake.

The Planning Dept. will look this over. We need to make sure that the proposed exterior architectural building elevations
match what was approved by the Plan Commission under docket no. 12100012 ADLS Amend. We will let you know very
soon.
Also, do you/they have a better PDF that you can send us that is more legible for the proposed exterior architectural
building elevations? And, if possible, please also have them relay to us the proposed colors of the building exteriors.
