There is no secondary containment provided, as these tanks set on a concrete slab at grade. Secondary containment is required by the fire code. I am copying this to Alan Young, who makes the inspection in this area. I would like to make it a condition that this be taken care of before the construction of the concession stand. Sheet C101 - Existing Conditions · Please indicate what the dashed line represents. The City assumes this represents the limits of construction. 2. Sheet C501- Utility Plan · There are symbols in the Utility Plan Legend for curb with subsurface drain, curb inlets, storm sewer inlets, storm manhole, end section, etc. Do these features occur in this set of plans? If they do not, please consider removing them from the Legend. 3. Additional Water Availability and Connection Fees may be assessed. Final determination will be by Carmel Utilities. 4. Board of Public Works and Safety approval of water availability may be required, based upon determination of requirements by Carmel Utilities. I am enclosing a Board of Works meeting dates and agenda deadlines for your use. 5. Storm drainage is under the jurisdiction of the Hamilton County Surveyor's Office. However, we would request a copy of the drainage calculations for this project. 6. Please indicate a swale between the existing and proposed building to ensure adequate drainage. 7. The Site Location Map and Soils Map did not copy well. The information presented is unreadable. 8. The limits of the existing paving (stone and asphalt) are not easy to see on the existing conditions and demolition plans. - 9. Please indicate removal and repair of improvements impacted by the installation of the water and server service lines. 10. Is any construction to take place in the 126th Street right-of-way? 11. Please confirm with the Utility Department that the length of the sanitary service line is acceptable. The above comments are based upon the Engineering Department's initial review of this project. Please provide this office with written response regarding this review and submit revised plans resulting from our review, if applicable, indicating all revisions. Second and subsequent reviews will focus on our original review comments. It is critical that this office be made aware of all modifications made on plans being re- submitted, particularly if any such changes are considered "new" of fall outside of our initial review. The proposed site improvements included a new concession stand and the total addition of approximately 1900 sq. fi. of impervious surface. Do to the size of the increase and the surrounding area of grass (pervious area), no storm water detention will be required at this time. 2. No permits will be needed from this office. 3. Any future development or additional impervious surface added to this site will require a complete drainage study to be performed. 4.
