ORDINANCE D-2160-13
AS AMENDED
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARMEL, INDIANA, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN
ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE
OPERATING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS,an amount of$100,000 is needed to cover increased costs in the
Communication's Center Budget Line Item #4350900 Other Contracted Services to fulfill the
contractual obligations with consolidation of the Communications Center with Hamilton County;
And
WHEREAS, the General Fund has excess funds in the amount of One Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($100,000) in the operating balance to appropriate to the Communications
Center Budget Line Item #4350900 Other Contracted Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of
Carmel of Cannel, Indiana, that the following additional sum of money is hereby appropriated
out of the General Fund Operating Balances and for the purpose specified, subject to applicable
laws, as follows:
$100,000 from the GENERAL OPERATING BALANCE
TO
Communications Center Budget Line Item#4350900 Other Contracted Services $100,000
This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and execution by the Common
Council and the Mayor as required by law.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana this 1 day of
2013 by a vote of 1 ayes and d nays.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION FROM THE
OPERA'T'ING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND
ORDINANCE D-2160-13
Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the City of Carmel,Hamilton
County,Indiana,that the proper legal officers of the City of Carmel.at their
regular meeting place at Carmel City Hall,One Civic Square,Council Chambers
at 6:00 p.m.on the 18th day of November,2013,will consider the following
appropriation:
$150,000 FROM THE
OPERATING BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND
TO
Communications Center Budge Line Item 64350900—Other Contracted Services;
$1 00,000
AND TO
•Mayor's Office Budget Line Item#4340303—Other Accounting Fees;$50,000
The above to be used for unanticipated expenses.
Taxpayers appearing at the meeting shall have a right to be heard. The
additional appropriation as finally made will be referred to the State Board of
Tax Commissioners. The Board will make a written determination as to the
sufficiency of funds within liken(15)days of receipt of a certified copy of the
action taken.
