TRUST· EXPERIENCE:' LAUTH October 13, 2005 Sarah Lillard City of Carmel One Civic Square Carmel, IN 46032 Re: Clay Terrace Afterhours Dear Ms. Lillard: This letter outlines the work that Lauth Property Group, Inc., has been asked to perform for the Aflerhours space at Clay Terrace by Clay Terrace Partners. Lauth is to provide a 6" stud demising wall that is approximately 28' in length from floor to ceiling at approximately column line D8 as shown on the floor plan provided. This is the only interior work that needs to be performed on Lauth's behalf. Mention of us providing plumbing, sanitary, and electrical utilities to the space by Jon Charpie is correct in that Lauth is to provide these to the tenant, however, these items are already there as part of the original shell constraction. We are not doing any further work inside this space. The tenant must tie into these stubs and adhere to the state and local codes and should be submitted to the State. Lauth Property Group, Inc. has also been asked to cut the three openings into the facade for the installation of the tenant storefront, install the additional sidewalk and relocate the landscaping in the area. The largest opening is 6'-4" wide which is a standard double door opening and only requires a typical steel lintel to support the masonry overhead. This design was implemented intentionally to not effect the structural system of the building. Since we are not installing any mechanical, electrical, plumbing or life-safety elements to the project, we are requesting to forgo the state submittal on our portion of the work and permit it with the city separate from the tenant's submittal. The tenant, who will be installing the electrical, plumbing and mechanical changes to the space, must submit to the state for approval. The storefront system that will go into the openings that Lanth provides will also be shown on there prints.
