, The building sewer ;shall be pVc sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of
latest revision; or vitrified clay°pipe, meeting ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay a
' pipe of latest revision unless othe� materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer shall �
' be installed in accordance with ASTM C-1'2 for extra strength, clay pipe and ASTM 2321 for '
pvc,pipe and the Uniforrti Plumbing .Code for the Stafe of Indiaria. All installations shall 6e in
strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. All building sewers shall be 6"
diametec.
All installations shall 6e "open trench" inspected .and approved by the carmel sewer
debartment before anv backfillinq is done. Non-compliance may result in digging up the ;
sewe�installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or :foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shalf be ;
pe�mitted to enter the publicsewer.
Sewer inspections should be�requested at57t-2441 one to four hours in advance. �
No inspections or installations�will be made. on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless '
arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All plumbers or contractors installing �;
sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CIN ENGINEER'S .
OFFICE. If any streef must be,cut, a separate street cut permit shall 6e obtained. i
