The improvement location permit(building pertnit) shall be issued when the proposed structure, improvement or use and its location confortn in all respects to this ordinance. The follawina must be received bv the Deoartment of Communitv Services before anv buildina or remodelina oermd can be reviewed or issued bv staff 1. ONE completed Improvement Location Permit(Building Pertnit) applicadon. 2. lW0 (2) complete sets of construction plans. Buiiding elevations, foundation pfan, floor plan and rypical wall section mustbe shown. All cross-sections must be properfy detaiied and labeled. At lease one cross- section must show R-values of buiiding materials to ensure compliance with the Indiana Energy Codes. If minimum R-values are not met on cross-section an Energy Code Compliance Worksheet must be completed. If manufactured trusses are used, a diagram must be included with building plans for all trusses being used. Truss diagrams must be stamped with the seal of the registered architect or engineer who is responsible for thaf design. Only Indiana registrations will be recognized. If a commercial construction, plans musi tie stamoed aooroved bv the Indiana State Deoartment of Fre Prevention & Buildina Safetv Indicate total height of buiiding on plans. 3. ONE copy of sewer pertnit(from City of Carmel Engineering Dept, Hamiiton Westem Utilities or Clay Regional Sewer Districi whichever applies), or septic permit(Hamilton County Health Departrnent). 4. ONE (1) copy of plot plan from subdivision development plan. 5. TYVO (2) copies of a sde plan or plot plan showing the following REQUIRED infortnation (can be obtained from the landowner or develooer): —Name and address of designer of plan with date —Name and address of owner —Lot number and subdivisian or applicable general descnption —�o[drawn to scale—all dimensions —Scale and narth arrow —LoUProperty lines —avlinimum front buiiding satback line per approved development plan (ncfude all front yard) —All roads, alleys, rights-of-way, etc. —All other utli�es and drainage rightsof-way and easements —Any appliqble flood plain area (Efevation Certificate if necessary) —Buiiding pad elevation and lot comer elevations —All accessory buildings— e�sting or proposed —All sidewalks and driveways �ewer and water lines, septic system (tanks&filed system) and well location —Dreinage Flow artaws —All drainage swales and subsurface faalities (retentioNdetentlon areas, etc.) —Sump pump (sump eump pils) showing discharge locarions —Geothermal heat pump discharge locauons If land is not wkhin a platted subdivision,a legal description is needed.
