CARMEL ZONING ORDINANCE Z-289, SECTION 29.42(3): The Director, Departrnent of Community Services (orstaf�
shall approve or deny the improvement location permd(building pertnit)within five (5)workina davs of the receipt of the
written application fortn and accompanying materials. The improvement location pertnit(building pertnit) shall be issued
when the proposed structure, improvement or use and i�locabon conform in all.respects ta this ordinanca.
The followina must be received bv the Deoartment of Communitv Services before anv buildina or remodelina oermd can be
reviewed or issued bv staff
1. ONE completed improvement Locatlon Permit(Building Permit) application.
2. TWO (2) complete sets of construction pians. Buiiding elevations, foundation plan, floor plan and typical
wall section must be shown. All cross-sections must be properly detailed and labeled. At lease one cross-
section must show R-values of building materials to ensure compiiance with the Indiana Energy Codes. If
minimum R-values are not met on cross-section an Energy Code Compliance Worksheet must be
completed. If manufactured trusses are used, a diagram must be included with building plans for all Vusses
being used. Truss diagrams must be stamped with the seal of the registered architect or engineer who is
responsible for that design. Only Indiana registradons will be recognized. If a commercial construction,
plans must be stamoed aooroved bv the Indiana State Deoartrnent of Fire Prevention & Buildina Safetv
Indipte total height of building on plans.
3. ONE copy of sewer permit(from City of Cartnel Engineering Dept, Hamiltan Westem Utilities or Clay
Regional Sewer D"istrict whichever applies), or sep6c permd(Hamiiton County Health Departrnent).
4. ONE (1) copy of plot plan from subdivision development plan.
5. TWO (2) copies of a site plan or plot plan showing the foliowing REQUIRED information (can be obtained
from the landowner or developer):
—Name and address of designer of plan with date
—Name and address of owner
—Lot number and subdivisian or applicable general descnption
—�ot drawn toscale—all dimensions
—Scale and north artow
—1.oVProperty lines
—Minimum front building satback line per approved developmerrt plan �nclude all front yard)
—All roads, alleys, nght5-of-way, etc.
—All other utilities and drainage rights-of-way and easements
—Any appiipble flood piain area (Elevauoo Certificate if necessary)
—Building pad elevauon and lot comer elevations
—All accessary buildings— eristing or proposed
. —All sidewalks and driveways

ATTACNED PLOT OR SITE PLAN AS SUBMITTED WITH A BUILDING PERMIT APPUCATION TO THE C.4eZMEL�I?eY
OEPARTMENT OF COMMUNfTY SERVICES. I FURTHER CERTIFY THAT THE JOINING OF WATER SUPPIY PIPING
SHALL BE MADE WITH I.PAD-FRE=SOLDEftS AND Fl.UXES. FAILURE TO COMPIY WILL RESULT IN A
REPLACEi�AENT OF THE SYSTEM.PLUMB IG COOE PS09-5.
