ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLANNING AND STRATEGY
Worked with city staff to discuss strategy and planning to use social media to help
publicize the Holiday in the Arts District, sponsored by IU Health North, an event
in downtown Carmel. Plan was implemented, content was produced and shared
in a variety of way in the week leading up to the event. For more on this, check

Worked with city staff, Pedcor, Carmel City Center to plan press conference and
public unveiling of new buildings to be built in the City Center. Conducted
extensive research and assisted Pedcor in writing various materials used for this
event.
Met with Mo Merhoff, Chamber of Commerce President —strategy and planning
session to seek ways of collaboration between the city and Chamber on efforts to
bring new businesses to the city.
Met with city staff to begin planning and strategy in city's role in assisting
Associated Images with two new PBS documentaries that will be filmed in Carmel
as part of a series of shows — "Savor Indiana" and "Extraordinary Indiana." Plans
underway to help with site selection, pre-production consultation, filming and
script-editing.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
CARMEL HIGH SCHOOL BAND IN PASADENA
Met with Jennifer Riley Simone of Carmel High School bands to strategize and
plan ways to generate social media and related publicity for CHS Band's
appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Relying primarily on
Twitter - https://twitter.com/CarmelBands -the event generated a great deal of positive

MICHAEL FEINSTIEN, AMERICAN SONGBOOK IN NEW YORK
Met with John Hughey, Center for the Performing Arts, and Chris Lewis, American
Songbook Vocal Academy and Competition, to plan and discuss strategy to help
publicize Michael Feinstien's pre-Christmas show at Birdland Jazz Club in New
York City with the 2013 American Songbook Ambassador Julia Goodwin. Using a
variety of means, helped generate interest and stories that appeared in the New
York Times, Syracuse Post-Standard and a national television appearance on
Inside Edition.

Met with John Hughey and Tania Moskalenko to discuss upcoming national
gathering of performing arts executives in New York City. Worked with them to
research and develop a PowerPoint presentation for Tania to use for a planned
presentation on Carmel's history of public support for the Arts. PowerPoint was
completed and delivered for her use.
WHITE HOUSE ROUNDTABLE
Worked with city staff, corresponding with officials in Washington D.C., to plan
White House Roundtable event held in Carmel. Conducted extensive research and
assisted in writing various materials used for this event.
Assisted city staff and White House staff in White House Roundtable on Climate
Change, held at the Monon Center. Assisted with pre-planning, press conference
details, various security issues and other issues as they came up.
RESEARCH AND WRITING

efforts: Assisting researchers as they embark on study.
