Dear Mr. Shinaver
At the meeting held Tuesday,January 28,2014,the Carmel Advisory Board of Zoning Appeals took the following action
regarding the Developmental Standards Variances(V)filed by you for the property located at the northeast corner of
North Michigan Road and 98th Street.
APPROVED:Docket Nos.13120009 V,13120010 V,13120012 V and 13120013 V: Development Standards Variances
for 10 feet perimeter bufferyard on south side of building(30 feet required);location of stacking for drive-thru requested
along north side of building; sign not facing street frontage(north facade)and drive-thru menu signs(only permitted for
restaurants) with the Condition that no stuffed animals shall be visible off site.
DENIED:Docket No.13120011 V:Development Standards Variance for number of wall signs(2 permitted, 3
requested)
Please be advised that per Section 30.05.05: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance,the aforementioned Development
Standard Variance approvals are valid for three(3)years. By that time,either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway,or a written request for a one-time,six-month.extension of the approvals must have
been received and approval granted by this Department.The expiration date of the approval is January 28,2017
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
