Existing Utilities 2. Miscellaneous concrete pads, pavement, underground conduits, utility poles, etc, located on site. 3 Out—buildings, associated foundations, support pads, etc ASSUMED NORTH JOB CONDITIONS A Salvaged Materials: Items of salvagable value to owner shall be removed SCALE: 1 =50 from site and stored as indicated by owner as work progresses Transport items rejected by owner from the site as they are removed. 1 Storage or sale of removed items will not be permitted on site. B Explosives- Use of any type of explosives will not be permitted C Traffic Conduct demolition operations and removal of debris to ensure minimum interference with roads, streets, walks and other adjacent occupied and used facilities 1. Do not close or obstruct roads, streets, walks or other occupied or used facilities without permission from the local authorities having jurisdiction Provide alternate routes around closed or obstructed traffic ways, if required by governing authorities D Protections: Ensure safe passage of persons around areas of demolition. Conduct operations to prevent damage to adjacent buildings, structures, and other facilities and injury to persons. E Damages. Promptly repair any damages caused to adjacent facilities by demolition operations PREPARATION A. Building Demolition After existing buildings have been vacated, demolish existing buildings completely and remove from site Use such methods as required to complete work within limitations of governing authorities. B Existing Utilities Locate, identify, disconnect, and seal or cap off indicated utilities serving buildings and structures identified to be demolished in the plans Contractor may need to hire a private utility location contractor to find all utllites to be demolished/remain 1 Construction Manager/Contractor shall coordinate with utility companies and arrange to shut off indicated utilities prior to nessasary shut off date 2. If utility services identified on plans are required to be removed, relocated, or abandoned, before proceeding provide temporary utilities that maintain continuity of service to existing buildings and structures 3 Cut off pipe or conduit a minimum of 48 inches below grade Cap, valve or plug and seal remaining portion of pipe or conduit after bypassing. 4. Utility Services: Protect against damage during demolition operations Disconnect, cap and remove utility services per local requirements. Do not start demolition work until utility disconnections have been completed to the satisfactions local utilities DEMOLITION—BELOW GRADE A Existing Utilities; Demolish and Remove existing utilities and below grade utility structures 1. Piping. Disconnect piping at unions, flanges, valves or fittings. 2 Wireing ducts disassemble into unit lengths and remove plug—in and disconnect devices. B. Break up and remove concrete slabs as indicated D. Filling Voids: Completely fill below—grade areas and voids resulting from demolition structureswlth approved engineered granular material suitable to the Engineer Compact fill to 100% of the soils maximum standard proctor dry density DISPOSAL OF DEMOLISHED MATERIALS A General Remove weekly from site accumulated debris, rubbish, and other materials resulting from demolition operations B Removal Transport materials removed from demolition operations and legally dispose of off—site NOTE: Existing houses on site may currently be serviced by a septic system Location of finger system is unknown. If finger system is found during any portion of construction, remove all portions of system within 36 inches of finish grade Septic tank shall be cleaned by a licensed hauler prior to tank demolition. Proposed sanitary service must be in place prior to demolition of existing sanitary service so that there is no disruption in service.
