Upon a positive vote by the Prairie View(PV)HOA and subsequent vote by Carmel's Board of IA
Public Works, the City of Carmel agrees to the list below as it relates to the PV HOA trees
planted between the street and sidewalk in the Prairie View neighborhoods—Brooks Landing,
Chapman's Claim and Moffitt Farms and along River Road:
• PV HOA will continue to treat ash trees for emerald ash borer,as needed.
• PV HOA will continue to provide other insect treatment, mulching and tree pruning,
annually or as needed. The City will prune the trees on River Road and East Main Street
west of the River Road roundabout
• The City will provide tree and stump removal service for any dead or at risk trees
starting in 2020 after an inspection notes all trees are in a healthy condition.
• PV HOA will replace trees,including ash trees with different species,approved by city,
when they die or become at risk of falling
• Tree replacement will be determined by location—if a tree is too close to a mailbox or
driveway—it may not be replaced. (See Street Tree Regulations Section 6 for distance
requirements, copy attached.) 25.50' spacing will be standard.
