BOT 1910 (02-07) Continuation of Minutes of Jan.ll'lgl0. deputy ~arshal,etc. Motion to adopt by ~ohnson and seconded by Hall,unanimously carried. The 0rdinanoe read as follows; BE IT ORDAINED by the Board oF Trustees of the town of Carmel,of the State of Indiana that the ~arshal of said town be and hereby is authorized to appoint one deputy marshal, who,in executing the orders of said Board,shall possess the powers and be subject to the liabilities of said Marshal. Said deputy shall give bond to.said town,with surety in t~e penal sum of $500.00;shal]. serve one year from the date of his appointment,and ~hall be subject to the orders of said Marshal,who may discharge him at any time.' It is declared that an emergency exists for the immediate effect of this act and it shall therefore be in full force and after its passage. Motion by Johnson and seconded by ~awkins that the Attorney be instructed to draft an amendment to an ordinance drafted Deo.14,19OS,regulatiug the time of closing of licensed amusements to ll.O0 o'clock making a penalty for the first offence of $5.00,$10.00 for the second,and revocation of the license for the third offence.Motion was unanimously carried. By consent of the Board Marrow and Rayle were given permission to talk to Board concerning an outlet, before the regular order of business. Motion made by Baubenspeok that Board investigate ditch proposition and report at next meeting. Seconded by Johnson. Carried by the unanimous consent of the Board. Board set Wednesday evening at 4.S0 Pm. for time to meet and look into the conditions. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. Bond of Deputy Marshal~ Harland Brown was unanimously approved. A petition regdlating the closing hours of pool rooms was then presented, It reads as follows. To the Honorable Board of Trustees, Carmel, Ind. We, the undersigned, citizens and tax payers of the town of Carmel, Ramilton County, Indiana, hereby respectfully petition honorable board to pass an ordinance, to regulate the time of closing Pool Rooms, as follows:' That any Pool Room with one or more tables shall be closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,and Friday nights not later than 10 oclook P. M. and on Saturday
