BOT 1920 (07-23 thru 08-06)EeOD Carmel, Ind., July 2~, 1920. The Town Board met at the library assembly room at 8 o'clock, The following members were present~ James M. Nutt, Isaac Bales, Dunning Mall, John Dee and E. E. Small. Several citizens of Carmel ~ ~ and vicinity, stockholders of the Union Telephone Co., met with the ?; Board, formed an organization, and upon motion and second, passed the following re~olution$, which was submitted to the Boards RE~0LUTION- We, who are stockholders of the Union Telephone Co., 0peratin~ a plant at Carmel, Indiana, request the board of the town of Carmel, to instruct the town attorney, to appear before the Public Service Commission, at the meeting in Indianapolis, to be held July ~8, l~B0, reprssenting the town and fighting any in~ crease in rates for over ~. The town board met in'a'meeting, following the ~oint session and the following resolution, moved by Board member Lee and seconded by member Small, was passed$ EESODVED~ That the Town Board, of the Town of Carmel, State of Indianm, hereby ask their town attorney, LeRoy J. Patty, to appear before the l~Ablic Service Co~ission, at their m~eting on July ~8, l~0, at Indianapolis, Indiana, and fight any raise in rates for service e~cept a raise of ~8~. The vote for the resolution resulted as follows$ Yeas Nays Bales 0 Mall Lee Small .The Board meeting was continued over until August 8, 1~0 President Board of Trustees. Carmel, Ir~l., August 6, 1920.
