The Pool Room ordinance was read and accepted, The Clerk was in-
structed not to pay any interest on stock as there was no appropriation
for such. After discussion of several questions, the meeting was adjourned.

Johnson moved and Lamb seconded the motion that the town lease a
dump sround from Mabel Myers at the rate of $15.'00 for the year. Carried.
The week of May ~4th was decided on for olean up week. Theolerk
was ordered to get out ~he bills and Noel Adams was ordered to hire the
truck and men.

After much discussion, pro and con, about the taxing and li-
censing of beer in Carme~,.Harvey moved an~ Lamb seconded th~ motion,
that after striking ou~ gE) of Section I of an ordinance tax~g,
licensing abd regulating the sale and manufacturing of alcoholic,
malt, vinous, ~piritous liquors, aoppy be turned over to our attexney
for him to read and advise the Trustees on. Motion carried.
After much pereonal talk, the meetingwas adJourned.~

The Board met in special session on ~turday evening in'Dr.'
Claypool~e office.' All members were present. Deardorfmade a report on
the 0rdin~nce that was before the Board. He reported it to be not
valid.' The Ordinance was tabled.
The Clerk was ordered to write Pete Nasse~ in regard to ~plac~ng
merchandise On the sidewalk. The Clerk was instructed, to inform
Nasser that merchandise displayed on the sidewalk must be placed in
racks approximately ~ feet wide and Ia feet high. Also, no mercha~A~se

is to be displayed on the curb in of the store~'
The Clerk was ordered to instruct N. Adams that it is his duty to
olean all streets whenever necessary.

Mr.~ Lough was present and talked upon closing hours for Evan's
Resturant. He read portions of an ordinance that he would like to have
passed by the Board of Trustees of Carmel. ts no citizens of Carmel
were present to back him up, the Trustees decided to do nothing.

the Hayes Construction Co. of Indianapolis, who had quoted oil plao~d
