P. sTClair~ pit gravel .75 dip gravel .85 Applegate moves, Compton seconded to give the contract to A. P. stClair for gravel for the city, said contract to expire December 51, 1936. A statement of the tax assesment for the Water Co. was read and it was decided to refer the matter to the town attorney. It was decides by mutual consent to buy a reflector to be placed on Willow St. at the Indiana Railway crossing. Mr. Wright read a petition for oiling north college Ave., Compton and Applegate were appointed to inves- tigate the matter and proceed immediately according to th&ir best judgment. Messers. Brooks, Smith, an~ Powell petitioned for a lot to pitch horse shoes. Mr. A~dams was appointed to see after providing a place with lighting facilities. Mr. Clotts presented a map of the street lighting and an addition- al ten lights were located in preparation of a contract to be drawn up and presented by him at a later date. Compton presented a request to locate a filling station on the Fred Bond lot on North ~ain St. As there is no hindering ordinance There being no further business the permission ,.as grantem. meeting adjourned. - / Secy. June 18, 1~36 Acts g Chrm. The boarm met in special session at the City Ha~ At 7:50 P.M. All Members present except Hinshaw. Herbert Lamb was elected temporary chairman. Dr. Donahue waspresent and introduced Mr. Phillips to the members of the board. Mr. Phillips wished to register a complaint of sewerage from the town of Carmel which passed through his property west of the ~onon Railway and ourside the corporate limits. Robert Deardorff~ town attorney, informed us the ditch was a county ditch and outside the jurisdiction of the town, however the board was unanimous in its desire to assist Mr. Phillips in anyway possible to satisfactory adjustment. Dr. i)onahue offered to present the matter to the State Board of Health. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. 159 Acting Chrm. 160 The board met in special session at:~the City Hall at 7:30 P.M. with all mamber present except Rinshaw. Fred Pfotenhauer was elected temporary chairman. Dr Cooper, Fred Strattan and Wuatt Carey~ local agent for compensation insurance for volunteer firemen, were present. Dr. Cooper explained the injuries received by Rue Hinshaw in the Norris fire. Wuatt Carey states his company ha~ been notifie~ June 3 but as yet no settlement has been made. The board will meet June 29 if a representative from the insurance conpany can be present. Myron Norris requested the town to apply for a PWA project as he has work he wants ~one. As it was not definitely understood what the requirements are , the matter was tabled with the understanding t~e town board would secure the project if possible. meeting adjourned. Secy.
