The Carmel Town Board met in the city hall at 7:30 with
all members present except Vogenberger and Lamb. The minutes
of the last meeting were read and adopted. The petition for
a street light at the Monon crossing on W. Main St. was acted
upon as follows: Pfotenhauer moved to place a light as peti-
tioned as soon as the money is available. Seconed and carried.
Mr. Pollard petitioned for the improvement of Small St. Mr.
pfotenhauer moved to have the street commissioner investigate
improvement and to make an estimate of the cost later making
such improvement as is possible with the available funds.

The commission to investigate W.P.A. project reported that
there was no one in Carmel who could be benefited by a W.P.A.
project and the commission was discouraged from obtaining this
service. A letter from the ~AFETy Engineer of the Morion R.R.
was read stating that more accidents occur where a street light
is used in addition to the flasher lights and advising against
the lnstalationof a street light at the crossing on W. Main St.
In reply to a questionaire sent to holders of water stock--
all signified they wanted cash if a change was made in the
present set up. A bill was allowed for labor on repair of the
county ditch, when the total amount is ascertained a bill is
to be sent to the County Surveyor for payment.
