BOT 1949 (10-04 thru 11-01)Oct. 4, 1949 The Boars of Trustees met in the town bldg. All~mbers were present· ~inutes of last meeting were read and adopted. Frank Applegate presented a petition with eighty signatures requesting traffic regulation at crossing of 461 and 2~4. The cl~rk was instructed to write the State Hi-Way Commission asking to have curbs painted on 4~i at crossing of 204 to azley norht and south with signs reading , No Parking At Any Time ,on each side of street. Nov. t, 1949 The Boar~ of Trustees met in the town bldg. at 8 P.M. Ail members were present. Minutes of last meeting were read and aGopted. Roy Feaster asked the town to put up a retaining wail for his property where it had Oeen cut down for First St. N.E. The Board told him no town work could be done on private property. John Brown, Lester Hlnshaw ann Dr. Harry Jones appeare~ to a protest the prohibiting of parking on 401'from 2~4 to the alley~ north an~ south. The Street Commissioner was instructed to speak to offenders in an effort ~o control parking on the streets of the business ~ district of Carmel. Mr. Klotz presented a program for street lighting. Dawson moved, Hash seconded, to contact the Twp. Trustees in regard to placing five ornamental lights in front of the same to be paid by the trustees by contract.
