Oy the President. The minuets of t~e previous meeting were read and auopted It was moved by Moffitt that , The Carmel ~ater Dept. enter in to an agreement with Jennie Foster, Harriett Cox, Edgar Small, E.E.Steven, Myrtle Jeffries, J T. Waldo, and Lester Hinshaw for the purpose of oOtaining permission £or the Carmel Water Company to tap the arain owned by the aoove mentioned persons and after said drain has been placed in good repair, the Carmel Wa~er Co. s~all pay its fair part of said repai~. This motion was second of Buskles,and so carried. ~uckles moved that Ordance ~ 1 195~, section ~ oe amende~ to read as follows, ~et between property, instead of Ten feet 0 etween property. This motion wa~ second by Moffitt and so ca,tied. The Chair appointed Buckles an~ Paaget to contact the merchants of Carmel with regara to helping in some orginized way in the payment of a town marshal. Moffitt mas appointed by the Chair to formulate plans for the additions to the Carmel Water ~ept. A special meeting was set for Oct. lath. The Following Bills were allowed. November The regular meeting of the Town Boaz~ of Trustees waa~calied to order by Mr. Applegate a~ 7:30 o'clock with the Clerk absent. It wa~ moved Dy Hinshaw that the bills be tabled untill the next regular meeting. This motion was second by Padget and so carried. Meeting aSjourned. December 4, 195~ The regular meeting of the Town Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:$0 o,clock with Buckles absent. The minuets of the last two meetings were read and adopted. The chair set December ~Oth as the date for a special meeting. Hinshaw moved that the tree in town property located on First ~treet S. ~. in front of The R. Davis home be removed in as much that this tree consti2uted a danger to the public wealfair, second by Moffitt and so carried. It was moved Dy Moffitt that the Town retain Stewart Gordon as the Town attorney for the year of 1953. Second by Padget and so carried. Hinshaw moved th~ the aalaries of ~he twon employs be increased as follows: D~nald Swails Jr. $25., Max Casler $10. as january tat. Moffi~t second and so carried. I~ ~s moved by Moffit~ that the Fire Chief ce allowed up to $25. per month-expence money. Second by Hlnahaw and so Carried.
