The minutes of the meeting held on July 12, 1966 read a~d approved. Fire Chief SwaLls filed a report of tie activities of the Fire Department for the second quarter of 1966. Michael Ca!laban, having served as a probationery fireman for six months, was classified as .a regular fireman at a salary of $ 4,840.00 per year. Pa~ Platt applied for a position as reg,!ar fireman. To be interviewed by Fire Chief Swai!s and Board member De!bert Flick and if satisfacto~,' to be employed. An ordinance to be presented in regard to bisysle licensing at the next regu- lar board meeting. ~w Johnson reported on street r~pairs. Mr. Myle, representing Robert $. Bodner and George Oburn was present and re- quested ir~formation about public utilities from Carmel on a tract of 36 acres. They were i~formed there must be an 8" water line entering their property. Homer Oradle presented an application for rezoning a tract of ground 304' x605, at 210 West Main St. from R-2 ~to B-1 by John Graves,Administrator. Same was re- ferred to.the Planning Commission. The Clerk-Treasurer was requested to co~wanicate with ~ir. Joseph Dawson in re- gard to the annexation of Cool Creek Estates. Also rsquest that he make a writ- offer to assign and transfer all title and intarest in the water system, iuc!ud- lng lines and hydrantson behalf of Coo! Creek Estates so that the Town of Carmel can formally accept sa~s into its system. Mr. James Alterdice, representing A.V.Stackhouse: contractor and F. C. Tucker~ deve!oper~ inquired as to the possibility of obtaining water and sanitation Fa- cilities to a tract of land bordering on State Roads No. h31 and No. 31. He was told if same came in from College Avenue it wotuld, require 8" water mains and s~er main and if ~from the schoola 6" water line and 8" s~wer line. James Dougherty reported on the necessity Of repair to the roof of the sewer plant. Also that nothing has been done as to the revamping of the telephone or intercom system, ~nor as to ordering additional furniture or equipment. ~ssrs. H. F.
