EXECUTIVE ORDER
JB-2004-2
WHEREAS, the Hazel Dell/Pennsylvania Street Road Bond ("Bond") was refinanced in
2004 to take advantage of declining interest rates; and
WltEREAS, there are excess funds in the City of Carmel Board of Public Works budget
for the Bond payment that are no longer needed for the 2004 budget year; and
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-8 states that the City Executive can deappropriate
money for any Executive Department; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel Board of Public Works and Safety is an Executive
Department, and
WHEREAS, Executive Order Number JB-2004-1, regarding the deappropriation of
money by the City Executive, should be revised.
NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of the power and authority granted to me as Mayor of the
City of Carmel, indiana, I, James Brainard, do hereby declare and order that,
1. Executive Order Number JB-2004-1, upon my execution of this Executive
Order, is wholly replaced and rendered void by same.
2. Effective on August 23, 2004, I deappropriate the amount of Eight Hundred
Eighty-Six Thousand Four Hundred Two dollars(S886,402) from Account No.
4354002, 1997 COlT Bond Payment account.
