1970 Carmel/Clay TwpZONING AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the Town
of Carmel, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as Town and Clay Township of
Hamilton County~ Indiana, hereinafter referred to as Township, WI77NESS~El
WHEREAS, the Town and Township on the 2nd day of May, 1961,
entered into an agreement by the terms of which the Township was joined ~'
the Town of Carmel for the purpose of zoning; and
WHEREAS. it is agreed that the Town and Township would review the
anticipated expenses and income to be derived from the operation of the
Zoning Law of the Town of Carmel each year, in sufficient time for the
Township to include within its budget'a proportionate part of the anticipated
zoning expense for the combined area of said Town and Township; and
WHEREAS. pursuant zo said agreement the .Township did include
its budgez for the year 1970 the sum of~Ten Thousand Dollars ($10, 000.-Q0)
for regular zoning purposes.
NOW THEREFORE,
Township that:

The Township agrees to pay the sum of Five Thousand
Dollars ($5, 000. 00) unto the Town on or before July 15,
1970 and the additional sum of Five Thousand Dollars
($6, 000. 00) to the Town on or before December 31, 1970.
The Town agrees To accep~ Ten Thousand Dollars
($10, 000.00) and ~ouse and apply the same on the cost
of operation of planning and zoning ordinances for the
combined territory of the town and township, said total
sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) to be
supplemental ~o, all funds received and collected by the
Town. by way of fees for building permits, etc.
It is further agreed that the Town and Township will review , .. .
