1980 Carmel/Clay Twp ZONING AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into by and between the
CitY of Carmel, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as City, and.
· .Clay Township of Hamilton County, Indiana hereinafter refer-
red to as Township, WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the City (formerly Town) and Township on the
2nd day of May, 1961, entered into an agreement by the terms
0f which the Township was joined to the Town of Carmel for
the purpose of zoning, and
WHEREAS, it is agreed that the Cit~ and Township have
reviewed the anticipated expenses and income to be derived
from the operation of the Zoning Law of the. City of Carmel
for the year 1980, in sufficient time for the Township to in-
clude within its budget a proportionate part'of th~ antici-
pated zoning expense for the combined area of said City and
Townsh'ip, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said agreement the Township did in£
clude within its budget~for the year 1980, the sum of Twenty-.
one Th0usand Dollars ($21,000.00) for zoning purposes, and
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed by and between the
City and Township that:
1. The Township agrees to pay the sum of Eleven
Tho~sand·Dollars~ ($11,000.00) unto the City'on or before
August 1, 1980, and the additional sum of Ten Thousand
Dollars ($.10,000.00) to the City on or before December
31, 198b.
2. The City agrees to accept and use said funds
to supplement other funds available for the operation of
the Plan Commission and the Building Commission's office
of the City of Carmel.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the. City and the Township bY and
through their duly ~lected, qualified and acting officials,
have he'reunto caused their names to be affixed and their
seals to be affixed as of this 1st day of January, 1980~
