The cameras collect sequential images. at rates up to 7.5 frames per second. These images are then viewed in the office using a software application through which a technician can perform a''virtual drive" down a"road. The speed at which this drive is conducted is controlled by the user. When an sign (or other asset of interest) is encountered; the X,Y coordinates of the sign are calculated automatically after'the locatiowof the sign is identified in the digital imagery bya technician through a "point and dick" procedure.
