THIS VACATION refers to a Utility and Drainage Easement that was granted by
Instrument No. 8708969 recorded on April 21, 1987, in the Office of the Recorder of
Hamilton County, Indiana.
PARTIAL VACATION OF EASEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Carmel, Indiana, is grantee under said Utility and
Drainage Easement; and
WHEREAS, The United States Postal Service has requested that a strip of ground
ten (10) feet in width within said Easement be vacated, as depicted on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHERERAS, The City of Carmel, Indiana, has agreed to the vacation of said ten
(10) feet strip of ground.
NOW THEREFORE, for good and valuable consideration the receipt and
sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the City of Carmel, Indiana, by and through
its Board of Public Works and Safety, hereby vacates a ten (10) foot strip of ground as
described on Exhibit `B" attached hereto and made a part hereof.

In response to our telephone conversation of July 30, 1997, please find enclosed a copy of the
recorded Partial Vacation of Easement which the City of Carmel granted to the United States Postal
Service. The document was recorded on June 25, 1997 as Instrument No. 9709725109 in Hamilton
County, Indiana.
I would like to;take this opportunity. to extendmy appreciatiorrto the_Mayor as well all members of the
City of Carmel staff for their participation and assistance throughout this entire process.
As you may be aware, the Postal Service is in the construction phase of the project at this time. When
